OIL RECORD BOOK
A revised Guidance for recording of operations in the Oil Record Book Part I—Machinery space operations (all ships) has been issued.
The Guidance is intended to facilitate compliance with MARPOL requirements onboard ships by providing advice to crews on how to record the various operations in the Oil Record Book by using the correct codes and item numbers in order to ensure a more uniform Port state control procedure.
Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) adopts new inspection regime
The Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control (Paris MoU) held its 43rd Committee meeting in Dublin, Ireland
The meeting was held in the Dublin Castle Conference Centre and was opened by Minister of Transport Mr Noel Dempsey TD. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Brian Hogan (Chief Surveyor of the Marine Survey Office), at the Department of Transport.
